lush at #ldnbloggermeet

Lush have been absolutely amazing sponsors of #ldnbloggermeet. Not only the meet that was yesterday, but three out of the four I have organised. We are always lucky enough to try our the newest products and yesterday was no exception.

FUN - I am really excited to try this new invention. It smells absolutely delicious and I am excited that it can be used in so many different ways -  as body wash, shampoo or in the bath. If I don't use it all up before I leave, then I am going to take it with me and hand wash some of clothes whilst being poor and living in a hostels.

Fair Trade Honey shampoo - I usually hate anything to do with honey; the smell, the taste, the texture. But the Honey shampoo actually smells really nice and I am looking forward to trying it out. I have used Lush shampoos in the past and they have made my hair feel really nice so I am hoping this is the same.

Emotional Brilliance in Motivation - I am really looking forward to trying this eye liner. I really like the colour and the brush is really thin and easy to use. There are lots of other beautiful colours in lipsticks, eye liners and eye shadows. I also really like the lipstick in the colour Bubbly.

my final #ldnbloggermeet

Today was the day of my final #ldnbloggermeet... Or my last one for a while. We all met at The Warwick pub just off Regent Street. I held #ldnxmasbloggermeet here last year but decided to go back because it's such a nice venue.

I had a great time chatting, laughing and getting to know everyone! It's a shame I didn't get to meet some of you sooner but I'm pleased I got the chance to before I leave. I have laughed so much today my throat hurts and drank cocktails far too early my head is a little cloudy.

Once again I was lucky enough to have Lush sponsor the event. We got some lovely new hair care products and glitter eye liner to try out. A massive thank you to Sarah Jane (twitter here) for all the amazing products.

Here is a list of all the lovely bloggers that attended with links to their twitter and blogs:

Laura's blog and twitter
Emma's twitter
Nicola's blog and twitter
Lauren's blog and twitter
Chelsey's blog and twitter
Joanna's blog and twitter

Finally, I'd like to thank everyone that come today for my final shindig! I had the best time and I hope you did too! I always get so nervous before but I really don't know why when people like you come along! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy when I think of you all meeting up again whilst I'm on the other side of the world. I'll be there in spirit!

I want to say a final massive thank you to the lovely Joanna who surprised me with a leaving gift which bought tears to my eyes! Joanna bought me the cutest make up bag with the great London landscape on the front and inside was the perfect shade of lipstick for me.

#ldnbloggermeet - the bloggers

With #ldnbloggermeet only days away I thought I would re-post the bloggers that will be attending so you can have a bit of a nose at each other's blogs before the day. I am really excited about the day and I am really looking forward to meeting you all. I haven't arranged any talks for the day so it will literally be a nice change to meet up, have a chat and meet the person behind the blog.
The meet is at the Warwick Pub between 1:30 and 4:30pm. More details about the meet is here.
As mentioned here, I only have a few weeks left in England so this will be my last blogger meet in a while but I'm pleased I've organised another before I leave.

#ldnbloggermeet

It's been a while since I did a post about #ldnbloggermeet, but of course it is still going ahead. Here are the details:

Date - Saturday 6th October
Time - 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Bloggers - link here

You may notice that the venue is the same as #ldnxmasbloggermeet. It was such a good venue and everyone seemed to like it so I thought it would be good to go back. There are some amazing cocktails and lovely food [menu] and it is in a great location. We have our own spot in the pub so it will be great to mingle to get to know each other. I get ridiculously nervous talking in front of large groups of people, so if anyone has anything they would like to talk about on the day, please let me know.

At 4:30pm the room that we have booked is opened to the public. The pub has said that you are more then welcome to stay and they can sort out a table for you if you wish. It is also really close to Regent Street and Oxford Street, so great for some shopping after.

Please let your blogger friends know as this will be the last blogger meet I organise for a while as I'm jetting off to Australia very soon and it would be great to meet as many of you as possible. I am also looking for some sponsors like previous events [here, here and here], so if you or anyone you know is interested please let me know.  You can get in touch with me by email: the-daisychain@hotmail.co.uk or on twitter @emmaharold.

two

Today my blog is two years old and I feel like a proud parent. To be honest, I am surprised that people even read my blog and that I have managed to keep it up for so long. As mentioned in this post, I will be leaving the country soon (roughly 15 weeks!!) and I thought today would be a great time to give you details about my final blogger meet.
I will be organising the blogger meet for Saturday 6th October. I will be looking for a location in Central London, but I wanted a rough idea on the numbers before hand. If you're free this day and you are able to make it to London, please let me know. You can leave a comment below, email me: the-daisychain@hotmail.co.uk or tweet me @emmaharold or #ldnbloggermeet.
As it's my last blogger meet for a while, it really would be great to meet as many of you as possible. The more the merrier!

#ldnbloggermeet

I can not believe this weather - I had a feeling I was being too optimistic with the original plans! But do not fear, the blogger meet will still go ahead!

We will now be meeting in Henry's in Covent Garden. Covent Garden is one of my favourite places in London and I usually pop in to Henry's when I'm there.

Henry's is really easy to get to. The nearest station is Covent Garden and it is right near Punch and Judy's. Here's the address for anyone using Google Maps: 5-6 Henrietta Street, Covent Gardens, London, WC2E 8PS.

I still need to email them to book a table, but just so I know how many to make the booking for, please let me know if you can definitely make it, by Thursday if possible :)

We'll still meet this Saturday - 7th July at midday.

Here is the link for the menu if you are wanting to buy food. The cocktails are also pretty damn good!

I hope to see you there :) you can reach me by email: the-daisychain@hotmail.co.uk or on twitter: @emmaharold or you can comment below :)

#ldnbloggermeet

I have been saying for a long time that I will be organising another blogger meet. With summer finally here (kind of) I have decided now would be a great time.

I have decided that I am going to attempt to pull off the original plans that I had for the first blogger meet I arranged. I realise they are extremely optimistic plans with the great weather we have been having at the moment, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will happen.

What?
My original plans were for a meet in Hyde Park but Wireless Festival is the same weekend, so I am moving the meet to Regent's Park. Bring a blanket and some food and drink and we'll basically chill out and have a chin wag in the sunshine (hopefully!).
I will be looking for a spot in Regent's Park for us all to meet and I will put a map up soon. The nearest stations are Regent's Park or Baker Street. Have a look at this site for planned closures.
I will be coming up with a back up plan over the next few weeks because, let's face it, our Great British weather isn't so fabulous.

When?
Saturday 7th July at midday.

Who?
I will be sending this link to everyone who has said they have been interested in the meet. If you would like to come along, please let me know so I have a rough idea of numbers, really for the back up plan. You can contact me by email at: the-daisychain@hotmail.co.uk or on twitter: @emmaharold. Anyone is welcome to the meet, the more the merrier!

 To come...
I will post a map in another blog post of where we are all going to meet so you know where everyone will be :) Once I have the back up plan sorted, I will let you all know. I will also do a post with everyone who has said they will be coming so you can follow each other on twitter and check out each others blogs.

Hopefully I'll be seeing you soon :)

You can read about the fist blogger meet I arranged here and the second blogger meet I arranged here.

#ldnxmasbloggermeet - jewellery sponsors

Maggie Angus was a lovely sponsor of the #ldnxmasbloggermeet. Anna had made each of us a lovely Fox Ring, which has also been seen on The X Factor. This year I started working for Anna and I have loved every minute of it. Anna is such a lovely lady, thank you so much for sponsoring our event.

Wired Jewellery is run by the wonderful Faye. It was the first time I met Faye at #ldnxmasbloggermeet and I am so pleased I got to meet her. I absolutely love Faye's chalk board jewellery! I love that you can have a different design every day. Clearly, I need to practise drawing on the jewellery! I will be hanging the Christmas decoration on my tree with pride. Thank you so much Faye.

Bang on Vintage is run by Debs. I haven't been able to meet Debs yet, but I hope I do one day! She was meant to be coming to #ldnxmasbloggermeet but she's busy moving at the moment. Even though Debs didn't come, she still made a wonderful bracelet for each of the bloggers. Each bracelet uses vintage beads and charms and each was unique. Debs is offering 15% off her shop if you use discount code XMASBLOGGER11.

A massive thank you to you all for the lovely jewellery!

#ldnxmasbloggermeet - our day

I would like to start this post by saying a massive 'thank you' to every one that come to the blogger meet. It was so good to meet you all and I hope you all enjoyed yourself. I also want to say 'thank you' to Law who helped me plan the day and all the brilliant sponsors we had.
After  all the emails, securing the lovely sponsors, making sure I had everyone on the guest list, it was a relief when the day finally come around.
The blogger meet took place in the very festive Warwick pub just off of Regent Street, London on Saturday 19th November. We had the basement to ourselves for the afternoon and it was a brilliant space for us all. I met my lovely friend Emma from Frank PR before and we had some lunch and cocktails (to settle the nerves). Soon Law arrived with her lovely Barry and then our day begun.

First up, the lovely Sarah from Lush come along to talk to us about some of the amazing products. I am one of the people that thought that Lush was mainly bath bombs, but how wrong was I! Their bath bombs are amazing but I will definitely be buying some of their other products soon. We all got an amazing gift bag from Lush with some new products to try. I will do doing a separate post on these.
Next up was the lovely Anna from Maggie Angus. A little while ago I started working for Anna and I make some of the lovely jewellery on the website. She's an absolutely lovely lady and I love working for her! Anna spoke about how she started her shop which was really inspirational and it was great to hear how far her shop has come. Maggie Angus jewellery is in all kinds of magazines and even on X Factor.
Anna also bought along a selection of her Spring/Summer 2012 collection, which I absolutely love. My favourites being the cloud shaped jewellery and the wooden ancor.
The lovely Faye from Wired Jewellery also sponsored our event. I was so pleased I finally got to meet Faye because we would spend our time talking about Australia and the food.
Faye also spoke in front of everyone, even though she was so nervous! She told us about the reasons she started her shop, what her products are made from and plans for the future. Faye is an absolutely girl and has actually started her own blog after coming along to the blogger meet.
The lovely Debs from Bang on Vintage also sponsored our event with some lovely bracelets that she specially created for #ldnxmasbloggermeet. Debs couldn't make it to the day, because she is busy moving house, but a massive thank you for sending me the lovely jewellery to give to everyone.
Debs was kind enough to offer everyone that come to the blogger meet and their readers 15% off Bang on Vintage by using discount code XMASBLOGGER11.
Law bought along Love Label gift boxes for us all from Very.co.uk. Inside is a cheek tint and highlighter and 3 plumping lip glosses. Such a lovely present for us all!
Claire, Faye, Puja and Jasmine
me and Kirsti
Emma, me and Emily
After our time at the pub me, Law, Jo, Amy, Lucy and Faye went and had coffee and chatted about our day. Then me and Law slipped off for a cheeky McDonalds.
I hope you all enjoyed yourself as much as I did. It was so good to meet you all, you're all so lovely. I am gutted that I wasn't able to speak to you all more, but there will be more blogger meets for us to meet again.
Thank you so much!
p.s. most of the above photos have been taken from Law's blog.

#ldnxmasbloggermeet

If you'd like to attend #ldnxmasbloggermeet then please let me know by Tuesday 1st November (a week today). By having a deadline, it'll be much easier to let our sponsors know and keep track of numbers. Please make sure that I have you on the list. If I don't, please email me at the-daisychain@hotmail.co.uk and I'll add you on :) I am really looking forward to the day and I am looking forward to meeting some new people.
Puja will be attending the meet and will be bringing her friend Jasmine. Jasmine isn't a blogger but is very enthusiastic about film and media and asked if it would be okay if she was to film the day. I thought this would be a great way to document and remember the day, but of course I would ask you all first. If you do not want to be filmed on the day, please let me know by email.

#ldnbloggermeet - lush

I usually have showers, not baths, so it has taken me a while to review these products. I tried the Twilight bath bomb and It's Raining Men shower gel for your body and hair by Lush. I got these products from #ldnbloggermeet which Laura kindly organised for us.

I've got to say, I don't know why I don't have baths more often. The bath bomb was amazing and smelt so nice! I thought I'd missing having huge amounts of bubbles, but I really didn't. I don't usually like anything to do with honey, but the It's Raining Men shower gel is absolutely gorgeous. I will be buying some more Lush bath bombs for sure! I knew my time was up in the bath when I woke myself up, snoring haha!

Lush also gave us some Toothy Tabs with out gifts for #ldnbloggermeet. I have weird gums and have to have sensitive tooth paste, so thought it best I give this one a miss.

#ldnxmasbloggermeet

I would like to start this post by saying another huge 'thank you' to everyone who attended the last blogger meet and to the brilliant sponsors we had. It was such a brilliant day and I hope to see you all again at this one.
I'd also like to say a huge 'thank you' to the lovely Law who has helped me plan this blogger meet.
When?
Saturday 19th November from 1pm. Even though it is a Christmas meet, it's not too near Christmas overlap with family and any travelling.
What?
We have an area book in the Warwick Pub 1-3 Warwick Street, London, W1B 5LR 020 7734 4409 in the Regent Street area between 1pm and 4pm. We will have a meet and greet and there is no set plan so bloggers are free to discuss anything. It's great to talk face to face and also discover new blog's. The Warwick also serve food from meals to snacks so you won't have to leave the meet, and last time some bloggers very kindly made cupcakes if anyone would like to make some again.
The nearest Tube Station is Piccadilly Circus Station. There are no planned closures on the Piccadilly or Central Line, but some of the others have part planned closures. Please click here, to plan your journey and make sure the closures don't affect your journey.

After?
As the pub is in a great location there is a variety of things that you can do after 4pm. There's lots of different things so there will be something to suit everyone.
The Warwick - At 5 pm the pub turns in to a club and they are more than happy for any bloggers who wish to stay to have their own private booth. (Just a note) If you do leave and go back to the Warwick at 5:00pm you will have to pay £5 entrance fee and will be asked for ID.
Shopping - The Warwick is based just around the back of Mango, just off Regent Street, so it's close to all the shops if you wanted to go see displays and go shopping!
Winter Wonderland - The 19th November is the first day that Winter Wonderland is open at Hyde Park, and a great way to get in the Christmas sprit. It's free to walk around the stalls that there are loads of places to eat.
There is also Ice Skating £13.50, Zippos Christmas Circus £9.50, Zippos Cirque Extreme £9.50 and The Giant Wheel £8 - best to book in advance! There are also lots of rides that start from £2 and tokens can be bought on the day.

From The Warwick we can get the Piccadilly Line a few stops to Hyde Park Corner and then a 1 minute walk.
Who?
Anyone is welcome to the blogger meet, you don't have to be from the London area. Please let me know by Tuesday 1st November. This is the cut off point so I have a final count and can let sponsors know. That also gives you enough time if you need to cancel, as places will fill up quickly and other bloggers may want to attend instead. I will do a blog post on 2nd November with everyone that is attending :) Please email me at: the-daisychain@hotmail.co.uk if you'd like to attend.

I hope you can all  make it, I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting some new people. Of course, there is another hash tag #ldnxmasbloggermeet for Twitter. Spread the Christmas Blogger Cheer!

Sponsor's:
If you or your company would like to sponsor this event, please get in touch. It is a great way to get your products straight to bloggers and to hundreds of views. Last time we had amazing sponsor's, which were mentioned on Twitter and many blog posts. We are thankful for your support. Please email me: the-daisychain@hotmail.co.uk or Law: vintagechicuk@yahoo.com

#ldnbloggermeet - frank pr

Emma from Frank PR come to the blogger meet with some Pinkberry frozen yogurt and Fashion Union goodies.

We had 3 Pinkberry flavours to choose from. The 3 flavours have been designed for London Fashion Week and we were lucky enough to be the first people to try these flavours. The flavours were:

The Anna - coconut with mango, strawberry and cap'n crunch - cool and crisp with a fantastic bite.
The Henry - watermelon with strawberry, pineapple and fruity pebbles - a real treat of a Pinkberry that doesn't take itself too seriously.
The Karl - original with blueberries - classically sophisticated with a tart and tangy edge: loved and imitated by many.

I had The Karl for the simple fact that I love blueberries. I don't really have much frozen yogurt to be honest but this was really nice! Like eating ice cream but with out feeling as guilty. It's avaliable in Selfridges Food Hall. I know the next time I am in there I will have to get one.

Fashion Union had provided us all with a lovely necklace. I love all the charms coming off of the necklace. All the necklaces were individually wrapped, which I thought was a really nice touch! It felt like Christmas unwrapping them all.

It was lovely trying Pinkberry for the first time and meeting Emma. She is so lovely and was really easy sorting out the meet with her. Thank you so much!
